ECOART: Environmental Study and Exhibition Group

“We cannot have peace on the Earth unless we also have peace with the Earth” - Julia Butterfly Hill

Founded in 2005 by artist Linda Lundell, EcoArt is an active circle of SCWCA artists focused on around environmental issues. The EcoArts group, comes together to inform, collaborate and make art and actions towards a sustainable future. In 2007, EcoArt hosted the first collaborative 2007 EcoArt exhibition in Barnsdall Park at the Junior Arts Center that included artists talks and a full color catalog. The participating artists included: Ruth Askren, Ulla Barr, Gregor Goethals, Ann Isolde, Julie Kornblum, Linda Lundell, Cathy Salser, Hani Shafran, Gabriela Sincich. Deborah Thomas and France White. Today, the EcoArt group continues to focus on both individual, group and public projects, hosting monthly meetings, coordinating exhibitions and continuing with their community involvement.

Led by EcoArt members, contact Sandra Mueller for more info. Eco Arts meets monthly. SCWCA members are encouraged to join in the ongoing learning at monthly meetings. Non-members can attend one time as a guest to learn about SCWCA and this activist group.
