Jean Edelstein is an absolute treasure not to be missed. Conversations with her reveal a woman of tremendous depth and history. She is a magnificent roll model for even the "not so young" artists among us.

As an artist, Jean Edelstein seeks the sacred. As she deploys the creative to approach the Divine, her art resonates with spirit. Edelstein's elegant aesthetic is melded with finely honed craftsmanship and expansive inventiveness into abstract icons, inspirational figure studies, innovative performances and compassionate political commentaries. Edelstein's Chinese accordian books are visual records of time intervals spent in Central Park, NYC, Guilin and ZhouZhuang, China, at Japanese gardens, and at performances she attends.

In Jean Edelstein's studio and home, her paintings and drawings, accordian books and videos will be on view. To get a preview, go to her website www.jeanedelstein.com and be sure to watch a video.
