Oil paint has been around for centuries. By contrast, acrylic paint was invented as recently as 1955. A lot of artists have never been professionally trained to use this medium to its full advantage or with archival considerations in mind. Do you know the correct way make a glaze? Do you know when to use medium viscosity as opposed to high viscosity paint? Do you know how to use slow dry retarders to facilitate blending techniques? Do you know all the various uses of Gloss Medium and Varnish? Are you clear on what not to mix with acrylic paint to avoid cracking and peeling? If not, Deane will share the amazing versatility and creative possibilities of acrylic paints and mediums in this workshop. This demonstration can change the way you paint with acrylic, and inspire you to experiment in ways you never thought possible.
