Member Beatriz Mejia-Krumbein sent word that Breaking the Silence was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach in July.

Member Annamarie Rawlinson is showing work this summer in three exhibitions: Layered Meanings at the The Claremont Forum Gallery (7/7-79), the 2006 Juried All Media Exhibition at the Palos Verdes Art Center (6/23-8/5) and the Los Angeles Assemblage Group at the Lucy Florence Gallery (8/1-9/3) in Los Angeles with an opening reception on 8/6 and closing reception on 9/3. Annemarie co-founded the Los Angeles Assemblage Group with Eva Kolosvary in 1994 and two fellow artists. The group has grown into a multicultural, multiethnic group of 15 artists who share a passion for assemblage art.
