In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, the Southern California Women’s Caucus for Art invites artists to submit large-scale work for Bigger Picture - Your Large Scale Perspective, an exhibition that explores how size, presence, and expanded format can transform the experience of art.
Working at a larger scale changes the relationship between artwork, viewer, and space. It allows artists to amplify gesture, deepen narrative, and create immersive visual experiences. Bigger Picture - Your Large Scale Perspective encourages artists to think boldly - to push beyond conventional dimensions and consider how scale can intensify meaning, emotion, and impact.
Artists are invited to submit work that commands space and invites viewers to step back, look closer, and engage with the work physically as well as conceptually. In keeping with SCWCA’s 50-year legacy of supporting artists and expanding creative voices, this exhibition celebrates ambition, presence, and the power of art that refuses to stay small.
