Call for Art

TAG group shows

As part of SCWCA’s new Association Membership with TAG Gallery, located in Los Angeles, one SCWCA member will have the opportunity to exhibit in each of TAG’s in- person group shows. See the dates and themes of each group show below. The SCWCA artist selected for a group show will be determined by the SCWCA board. A SCWCA member can only exhibit in one TAG group show per year. 2D and 3D work is accepted. Prints of original artwork is not accepted. Work must be for sale with a minimum price of $200. The commission split with TAG is 65% for the artist and 35% to
TAG. TAG is not strict about the dimensions for the artwork in the group shows, however, the group shows are hung in TAG’s Sky gallery, with quite low ceilings which doesn’t favor very large works. Hanging is at the discretion of the hanging team. TAG group shows are on exhibit for approximately three weeks. You must be able todrop-off your work to TAG on the date listed below for the specific show you are submitting to. No shipping allowed. You will be notified of the pickup date if you are selected - pick-ups are usually the day after the show closes.

If you would like to submit to
Love Is All Around, TAG Group Show #2, please email your submission by Wednesday, January 14, to [email protected] Email up to three images of three different pieces of art of various dimensions as .jpgs, including title, dimensions, medium, price. The artist chosen for this show will be notified by Saturday, January 17. TAG Gallery is located at 5458 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles. The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday 1-7pm.

Occupy the Moment | Fabric of Change from Cathy Salser on Vimeo.

In celebration of our 50th Anniversary WCA invites each member to occupy this moment fiercely by uploading your image. This digital mosaic welcomes us to share the thread(s) of change we each wish to hold, make them visible, and anchor them in community, not isolation. The art is the lived journey, moment by moment, holding these threads, weaving them forward, powering our leadership and sustained action. Here we record our durational art that will carry us year after year. We are all threads in this fabric of change.
Use this project to share your voice about anything that concerns you. Create as many issues, thoughts, or concerns as you want. We urge each of you to create your own Fabric of Change project and upload the image to the Digital Mosaic Portal.  What a great way to stay connected!
