Embers

When the fires came for Los Angeles this past January, 2025, seven SCWCA members lost their homes in the subsequent maelstrom. In recovery from the devastation, these women became aware of the pain not only of the loss of all the precious items within their homes, but the deeper wound caused by the destruction of one's life's work their beloved art represented.

The show
Embers was conceived to honor the work of Brenda Hurst, Beanie Kaman, Sandra Mueller, Sinan Revell, Cathy Salser, Karen Schifman and Nancy Spiller.

The
Embers Conversation will take place on Zoom, January 15 at 5 pm (before the board meeting) so WCA members from across the country can also attend.
